The MoveBeyondPain® audio and
video program is a comprehensive therapeutic exercise program for
effective chronic pain management. The program is based on Ms.Gandhi's award winning research study, now published in Women & Therapy
Journal. Ingeniously combining yoga inspired
breath awareness with body awareness, clinical exercise physiologist Namita
Gandhi teaches you the art and science of pain free living
by relaxing the mind, body, and spirit. Some of the possible benefits
of the MoveBeyondPain® program are: reduced pain, fatigue and stress, ease of movement,
improved range of motion, better sleep and improved quality of life.
The two hour MoveBeyondPain® video contains guided relaxation, stretching and toning exercises and
aerobic exercise ideas for cardiovascular health. It also contains an
educational interview with Ms.Gandhi in which she talks about
the vicious cycle of chronic pain and fatigue associated with
conditions such as Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome,
Arthritis,Chronic Back Pain, Neck Pain, Myofascial Pain and Chronic
Headaches. The interview also includes benefits of yoga inspired deep
breathing and twenty pain management principles. The four main MoveBeyondPain® program components are breathing and relaxation, stretching,
strengthening and aerobic conditioning for chronic pain management.
The audio CDs complement the exercise video in deepening the
relaxation response and effectively managing stress and insomnia. |

Clinical research studies have suggested that
relaxation techniques such as guided imagery, visualization,
self-hypnosis, autogenics and anchoring used in the MoveBeyondPain® audio series are highly effective
not only for inducing a deep relaxation response, stress management,
and restorative sleep, but also in managing chronic pain conditions
such as fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, arthritis, myofascial pain syndrome,
whiplash injuries, headaches, fatigue, and generalized muscle tension
along with depression, anxiety, cardiac and respiratory conditions,
gastrointestinal disorders, and diabetes. |
"As each muscle is
released from tension,
the mind's burden lightens.
